Netflix 5.3.1 Not Working

#21
I'm using the one suggested here ... 5.3.1
Oddly enough it's been doing that black screen for going on a week. Last night it started showing the billboard again.
Thanks

The U9...... Oddly, 5.3.1 is still working on my U1. I haven't logged out so that's more than likely why it's still working.
I have had a lot of trouble with Netflix on the U1 and on the tablet together with the VPN. I am using 4.16 on the U1 and it is working ok, although the older version is a bit annoying. I am hesitant to try another version. I tried the Netflix addon in Kodi and the playback was unwatchable.

I've tried all the ones you mentioned, I'm happy with 6.20.1 for now. I use an A2 lite so the scrolling problem isn't an issue and the play back is OK.

I also get the billboard not shown on the U9 minix, with version 4.16.x..... of Netflix. Unfortunately since about a month I couldn't use the 5.8.x version anymore. I was using this version because it gave my HD+ resolution with my FHD netflix account, ( just a step higher then 720p) on both of Minix boxes (my Minix X8h and Minix U9h). But suddenly Netflix told me to log in again and it kept saying bad username/password.
After uninstalling the modified 5.8.x version and installing the "official" 4.16.x.... version it logs in and works apart from the black billboard with the billboard error.

When I try one of the latest versions, 6.26.xxxxx 7.7.0.xxxxxx netflix starts but stops again, on my Minix U9h with the latest official android version 6.01.

When I try one of the latest versions, 6.26.xxxxx or 7.7.0.xxxxxx netflix, I could not install it, on my Minix X8h because the version of the latest official android it is running, Android 4.4 (I think).

1. How about you guys here, did anyone somehow succeed with a newer version, higher than version 4, which still works right now?
2. I read that netflix version 6.20.1 was a success for some of you on the Minix U9h, does it still work? Is it an unmodified version, are you running Android 6.x.x or Android 7.x.x? And if it is still working which exact version is it, can you help me download it somewhere?
3. Apart from the newer version wish of Netflix, how about the screen resolution wish of more than 480p, which seems the about the current maximum with Netflix version 4.16.xxxxx on minix X8h/U9h, did someone succeed in this without using kodi with the netflix plugin?

For others who want tot test their maximum supported screen resolution within Netflix search for Test Pattern in Netflix. Than after running an episode of it for about a minute or more you can see its maximum supported screen resolution in Netflix shown in yellow.

I hope someone has possitive answers for one or more questions of point 1 to 3 I mentioned in this post.

With FW 008 I'm currently using V 6.21.0 build #12 31615. For me it works well enough, it does however have an issue with scrolling. I use an A2 lite remote so scrolling isn't an issue.

From time to time I try the Kodi addon version just for the heck of it, it works most of the time. On one occasion I needed to force an update to get it to play!...... TBH I prefer V 6.21.0, it's easier for the family;)

Versions can be found here....

Thanks for you answer!
Tried the 6.21.0 build 12 31615 by the link you mentioned, nu succes on my Minix U9h, installing was no problem but after waiting for a couple of minutes, showing only the netflix characters, I get an error message that Netflix can not reach its Netflix-service. and at the end there is an (-9). I am connected though ethernet, maybe it does only work with wifi connected. I tried wifi network fake option but also withoud succes.

Kind regards

Try doing a power cycle of your U9..... "Reboot". You could also try clearing the Cache or Data for Netflix. Your will have to re-enter your login credentials

Based on this method

I'm getting 960 x 540 30 fps, on an old LCD:(
Until this one dies and I upgrade to something from this decade:LOL:.... I don't get to excited about the resolution;)
