Using my NEO U22-XJ connected to LG OLED tv
The MINIX hdmi output flashes between all picture modes, using Dolby Picture settings on both MINIX and LG. I cannot get to the MINIX settings as screen continuously flashes on/off.
Is there any way to manually reset?

Maybe try to see if changing TV to a non HDR/DV picture mode helps. You could also try pulling out the HDMI cable whilst connected and then replug

Also if you have another TV you could try using that. Maybe you can also disable DV/HDR modes on the LG ??

In my experience its not worth enabling DV on the U22 as its to flaky and gets "stuck" in either a HDR or DV mode.

I reported this to Minix many times but they never bothered to sort it out.

Regretably they have abondoned their users now and dont offer any support here.

Thanks .. will give this a go … not exactly expert at this … we had a lighting strike nearby, but the MINIX was not connected to the power mains, however the house earth return breaker was tripped.

was the TV plugged in when you had a strike, or is that OK otherwise ?

Having problem finding the DV mode , the screen is flashing on/off … where innthe MINIX settings is it? …The tv and minix were isolated by a remote controlled breaker set to off

DV is disabled by default.

Settings, MINIX Settings, Display, Screen resolution, Dolby Vision

is your LG not a 4K, if it is then you should really be able to use settings as i posted

and with Dolby Vision on does it not get stuck in a DV/HDR mode ( ie screen appears overly bright even when not playing DV/HDR media ?

I have an LG55B2 tv with MINIX NEO U22-XJ (not XJ-max) approx 5+yrs old
My screen resolution settings page on the U22 is different to your screen shot, mode 2160p60hz is not available (just changing from 4k to 1080 stopped the on/off flashing), the nearest Color Space Setting is YCbCr422 ,
HDR to SDR is set to Auto , cannot set HDR Priority but have SDT to HDR set to Off…. but hey IT WORKS! and is a much better picture as a bonus! (I have set the LG & MINIX to Vivid color with LG best settings).
So I think I shall quit tinkering with stuff I don’t understand while I’m ahead.
Thanks again for your help .

Apologies, my first screen settings was from U22-XJ Max, but here they are from the U22-XJ. ( more or less identical)

So I'm surpised at what you are seeing unless you may have an older firmware version installed, as you can see this is FW 008

You have less than ideal minix settings and having LG set to Vivid surely is far to bright

Yes, my settings can be improved (too bright)
I have V003A firmware, security patch level 1 September 2020
Am changing screen resolution to Auto switch to best quality, Dolby Vision enabled, LG set to Standard …. better colour and not so bright … can tune the LG better.
Thanks again for your help.

Tried changing the MINIX Display mode back to 4k2k-60hz and the flashing on/off screen problem returned … it’s ok with 1080p-60hz

that still seems weird (flashing on/off) on 4K and not 1080p

Youve paid a lot of money for the minix/LG combination so I would be trying to get the best settings

Some ideas to try >>

Maybe its your HDMI cable , have you tried using a better cable,
Try a different HDMI port on the TV
check, or do you have LG settings correct to enable HDMI deep Colour mode on the HDMI port you are using
or possibly need to update to FW008 >> https://files.theminixforum.com/shared/others/

best of luck :)

Thanks again for the tips … will try out what you suggest … the thought of updating the firmware however gives me a headache??

Im assuming the FOTA app (one of the installed apps) would be another way, I think it may go one FW version update at a time though

FOTA update gives you V006a.
I just tried!
One single update from V003_20200430-1647 to V006a_2021203-1459

V007 and V008 were pulled!

I don’t believe it … moved the hdmi from nr1 to nr2 socket and can now use 2160p60hz settings you suggested with no on/off flashing. (the LG settings are a nightmare to get right for all inputs however)
Will try out the FOTA update … but need to read up on what FOTA is first

FOTA - Firmware Over The Air

Run the MINIX FOTA app which is in All Apps. It will tell you if there is an update with the option to download it.
Select Download.
When it has downloaded then an option to install.
Select Install.
Wait for the install and the device to restart.
No user data is lost!
