Hi everyone, I have 2 U22-XJ boxes. The first one I bought, the updates thru fota went without a glitch. The second box on the other hand will not update thru fota for some reason and I am confused as to why this has happened. Both boxes are not rooted. Please can anyone steer me in the right direction.

Hello there is a rooted version of 005FW (20200819) but it must be updated manually with the update tool here is the thread with the root version and instructions.

Ralf, seem to have another problem. when flashing using usb burning tool, it stays stuck at 31% and will not move. is this normal?
 
it has stopped at 31% with the following error message UBOOT/Partition system/Download buffer/Data transfer error. what does this mean, and can it be corrected in order to complete this flash.

Try again
Use USB câble from u22xj
Use last version USB burning tool
Use rear USB from pc
Bé shure that the firmware was load correctly and thé u22xj was recognized correctly in USB burning tool before you push start..i use windows 10 ,no probleme for flashing firmware ,

Some users have reported issues trying to flash a U22 with some Win 10 PC's/laptops. (Despite the fact that the same Win 10 system will successfully flash a U9-H, for example.)

Do you have access to another Win system to try?

You could also try an older version of the USB burning tool, it may help, it may not.

Some procedures you can do:
-original u22-xj usb cable

Windows PC
-latest usb burning tool
-uninstall programs you don't need
-disable temporarily firewall/antivirus
-download or check again the file integrity (firmware for u22-xj)

Note:
If you have everything working well (u22xj, Windows PC, connection between the two devices) it must work without any problem.
I only tested the firmware update with windows 10 and it works very well (and i used latest usb burning tool)
