sorry for the late response. As far as I know, most of the Micro USB cables are capable of charging and transferring data, while I admit that a certain percentage of Micro USB cables are truly not able to transfer data.
There's a slight difference between the Micro USB cable that comes with the NEO U9-H and the regular Micro USB cable.
It's the metal part on the Micro USB cable that inserts into the NEO U9-H is a bit longer than the regular Micro USB cable.
For example, for the metal part that inert into the NEO U9-H, the cable that comes with the NEO U9-H is 8mm, while the regular Micro USB cable is 6mm.
I don't know the exact length of both metal part of the cables. Just for example.
sorry for the late response.
i tried yesterday to use a regular cable for the U1 and it got fully identified by the burning tool,
but on the other hand, i tried the same with regular cable on the U9-H and i got no identification.
so according to what u say here, i need to use the cable that come with the box, but it is a microUSB to usb b cable, and it means that i need another usb a to usb a cable the connect the pc, and this is a regular 6mm cable.
do u think it will identify the box?
make sure the "world cup" driver installed when you installed the Burning Tool, if not uninstall and reinstall, ( if your not sure then uninstall and reinstall anyway and you should get a prompt to install the world cup drivers )just tried it now, and same result - the burning tool doesnt identify the box. dont know what to do.
I have the exact same problem as deannie...
can you please help me?
Hi misamu,I have the exact same problem as deannie...
can you please help me?
Did you follow this ?Hi folks,
I am trying to update the firmware on my Minix device. I have a U9-H, old firmware. So old it doesn't store VPN profiles, so I wanted to update the firmware.
- The OTA update won't work / network not found
- I cleared the system update cache, but it still didn't connect
- I tried a factory reset, didn't work
- I tried to flash the 7.1.2 update but my PC didn't connect/recognize the Minix device
- I tried to flash the 7.1.2 update with a different version number of the USB Burning Tool but it didn't connect
- I tried a different USB port, didn't connect
- I tried a different OTG cable, didn't connect
- I tried flashing an older, more stable FW version, didn't connect
- I tried holding the power button while I connected the power cable, didn't help
- I removed the other USB connections and HDMI cable, didn't help
- I bought a USB 2.0 adapter ($10) to make sure it wasn't a 3.0 backwards compatibility issue, didn't connect
- I loaded the ZIP to a flash drive and tried installing via EXT, signature didn't verify
So now I'm pretty stuck. "Try another PC" isn't an option. Can someone tell me how to verify the signature (or change the settings so that unverified IMG file can install FW) or update the OTA or... anything that will work, please?
Thanks,
D.

I would use 008 FW unless you absolutely need android 7
I suggest trying this burning tool version:Hi there, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I followed that. Tried 7.1.2 and tried 008 too. Neither were actually used because their respective Burnit tools (two separate v2.08 and v something else, I think) recognized the device.
