Ok. Box all good. Updated in all ways ok.
Problem, several random reboots & also several times there is a loud buzzing from the box & it shuts down. Just like it's overloaded or something.
I have the same problem.Using original HDMI cable which came with Minix. I have USB stick connected. Never had problem like this with my old Neo U1. Please fix it asap. It's annoying.
Thank you

Hi Obrowne,
I'd like to confirm the exact way that you connect below devices, looking forward for your getting back.
- TV
- U22-XJ
- Home theater (including an Amplifier and 8 or 6 speakers).
Hi Exactly what info do you need?
- TV is connected with HDMI cable to Home theater on Audio return channel (ARC) (eARC is enabled)
- U22-XJ is connected to the Home theater on the multi-media HDMI port
- HomeTheater has connected for speakers a 7.1.4 setup (dolby Atmos) - (no extra amps)
(Check the attached PDF-file for a visualization)

Hey. I have such a problem - there is no sound in applications after exiting sleep mode on hp output. Only rebooting the device helps.

Im also having an issue with the brightness, i can have the brightness and contrast set at say 55 for example on the minix box, i check through a few films and the picture is good, then the picture becomes bright and washed out, so i go back into the settings and drop the levels 50, check through the same few films and the picture is good, after some time the picture changes and becomes so dark its unwatchable, the brightness level numbers dont change in the setting only the actual brightness, iv tried 2 different hdmi leads and it happens with both.

i can also have a clicking noise from the box every now and then, iv updated the software on the box

Iv also turned on the dts and all othe sound settings for them to turn off a couple of times, cant remember if this was after the box was turned off and back on

This buzzing (I have this also) & clicking from the box is concerning.
Combined with ultra brilliant whites that cannot be toned down or changed plus random reboots kind of makes me wonder if this is a hdmi port kind of issue.
This is a non expert, not technical, kind of gut feeling opinion, probably not correct & probably way off the mark....... It's just a thought

All opinions are good to post. Please check the follwing setting:

Get to Settings, Minix Settings, Display, SDR to HDR - mark the OFF dot and try it from there.

Yes it's been reported already!

You can try disconnecting the Ethernet cable and reconnecting.

The situation with the Enter key was reported a few days ago and will likely be addressed in a future update. You might find some relief to the annoyance by trying Gboard from the Play Store in the meantime.

Can you please check the HDMI cable quality/connection, preferably switch the cable and try from there. That situation is unusual but consistent with a bad connection or quality of that cable. Should this be the case it can be causing the failings in the other components (sound) that you mention. I notice you refer to a U1 in the same spot. The HDMI cable gets in the U22-XJ in a 180º angle comparing to the U1 and that can cause some adverse tension if you are using the same cable that got eventually deformed in time to the position it used to have when connected to the previous box.

VPN issues are being taken care of as issues are already known.

Browsing with Chrome: please check my previous post in this thread, here above.

Thanks for the answer.

Regarding issue #1, maybe I was not understood correctly. It is not about the HDMI connection, it is about the Minix box resetting itself. The system reboots. I'll look to see if I can get my hands on a log with the reset reason. I hardly think that an output cable is the fault for the reset of the box. I did try with another HDMI cable, a new one, and the reset still occurs.

As for the sound, I switched from jack output to HDMI output, now getting the audio signal from the TV audio jack. I now have to deal with the volume setting on the TV, this means another remote to tinker with.

I am sorry that my suggestion didn't help, but thank you for having tried it. I hardly think you didn't by now carefully check all the connections between the power line, the power supply and the box itself, and so I can't imagine what might be the cause for the unexpected restarts, nor what else to advise. However since there seems to be someone else with a similar problem there is also at least one more reason for the situation to be kept under observation.

In the meantime someone else with some other idea in mind might be able to give us some better suggestions.

My U22 is connected to Q90R soundbar via the U22 HDMI cable provided. However, in Kodi (expert) mode, I am unable to see these options:
TrueHD capable receiver
DTS-HD capable receiver

Any help will be appreciated.

Just read this thread

If my issue is due to "Dolby True HD with Dolby Atmos TrueHD 7.1 comes out as Linear PCM 2.0", then ok.

Or I could interpret it as "Passthrough for TrueHD and DTS-HD allowed but output was PCM 2.0"

So which is which?

HD audio via passthrough is currently not correctly supported and outputs as PCM

Actually, one more question. Is this the reason why both options are unavailable (TrueHD capable receiver, DTS-HD capable receiver)? Thanks.
Yes, any HD audio it seems ( and also AAC multichannel to boot only as PCM 2.0 )

i take it the clicking noise im getting from the box would be a hardware fault? Just like the member thats having the buzzing sounds from his?

i doubt it, under what circumstances do you experience clicking noises ?

your "brightness" issues are probably just a requirement to turn off all HDR/SDR/DV options
