The newest firmware for NEO U9-H

Hi and welcome :). If you will receive your U9H test first with the default firmware (i think it must have marshmallow).

Some benefits of upgrade are:
-some apps might need a recent firmware and if that is the case you already have.

Example : kodi v.17 (or later) requires android devices run at least android 5.0 (minimum api level 21).
-some apps or the system itself might work better for you (more stable and faster)
-bugs fixed and security increased
ETC, etc....

But i think you must first try default ROM and later if you really need/want then upgrade.
You can always do the inverse - downgrade.

Some user like android 7.1.2 (i am one of them) and others prefer android 6.0.
It depends but if you try later you can have a better idea and if it works better for you.

Unless there are features with Nougat that you feel you must have I would reccomend using FW008 Android 6. Pretty much rock solid.

Other than the look of the MINIX Metro Launcher I really don't notice a difference. In saying that, I have a basic set-up HDMI directly to the TV. All my Apps. work fine on FW 008. As others have mentioned, Install FW 008 and try it out first and indeed it is pretty solid.
