the last beta included one of these bugs:

in this official version, is it fixed?

I never had that problem since beta nougat firmware (never tested marshmallow ROM, but i think it also works ok)
I also have static leases on my router.
For me it is working fine.
 
Hi All, thanks to all who have worked on Nougat version of U9-H firmware. I have installed it and everything works smoothly. I however I hit on issue with functionality of Harmony (ir) remote controll. Some of the keys does not work, especially play, pause, stop...keys. It works neither in kodi nor in youtube player. Could you, please help me, how to fix it? Thank you.

I have KODI buffering problem.. every few seconds keps buffering.. on some occassions also exits playing..
I ve uploaded advancedxml (or something like that) with increased RAM allocation as I've read on net..no success. I've set synchronize frame rates with display ..nothing...

With my network is everything ok as I could watch KODI on my Sony Android TV flawless...

What more could be done.. I am playing with the Idea to switch back to 17.6 kripton which performed ok..
This 18.5 KODI Just wont work ok on U9-H.. ?

There is no need to downgrade to other kodi version.

I am sorry to say but maybe your network configuration is not ok or the problem is in your u9h.

I don't know if you use wifi but try this:
Use rj45 and restart u9h and router for now.

Advancedsettings.xml is other step , first is improving local network.

I am on Ethernet not wifi, also my TV Sony xf8096 which is 5m from server Worms ok, U9-H which is on the same switch as server keeps buffering.

Also i must mention on some occassions after the movie starts its end playing and throw ne back to menues...

Check your server configuration and do a restart (server).
Check also your u9h and router configuration.

Don't forget to restart both router and U9-H.

Uninstall in U9-H apps you don't need.

You can test without sql server and then later you can test with sql server.

Just one thing:
Your server is a NAS or a desktop with windows?

7.1.2 installed without any issues, looks great !
problems I encounter :
1) not found in the app store in disney+. apk installed but when watching a movie I have no sound
Disney + has to solve this, I think

2) Gamepade Ipega PG-9028 not working with Real Racing 3, Asphalt 8 no response if you use the buttons
from the gamepade there is no connection from the buttons A, B, Y, X and the arrow keys

Gamepade not working for the U9-H and T5

can this be solved?

with Lan1 and 2

As I say, everywhere else in my Setup (/PCs, TVs, Phones) works perfectly.. just this Lea version of KODI is a problem from version 18.1 and going...

I am toying with the Idea to go back to 17.6

You have a good NAS, that should not be the problem.

I don´t have any problems with kodi 18.5, using Ds418 synology with my SQL (advancedsettings.xml) streaming 4k (larger files, etc) .
I have two separate databases:
kodi 18 and kodi 19 and i don´t have any problem

You can try this: (I know that is annoying)
factory reset both router and u9h

I tested not using sql server (kodi 17,18,19) and i also don´t have problems.
I also tested before with other NAS that i have and i don´t have problems.

Conclusion:
You have something wrong in your setup
The problem is not the CE ROM.

Please open a new thread with your problem and write you configuration/problems as detailed as possible (i forgot to ask if you use AVR, if you use please write in your configuration)

I've choose Salomon solution: KODI 18.5 is removed, 17.6 installed everything working perfectly ok..without aditional need for setings tweeks..

Never again Will I update Kodi until everything works ok.. I have had now twice the procedure, once Lea 18.1, now 18.5, both Times back on 17.6

Now it Will stay so.. Using a program with need for solving 100 problems before...no go..

I use minimal addons: subtitles, keymap, ..dont think this woyld make problems, everything Else is just dbase..

Will stick to this until will work..after Will try to upgrade..

But its really funny that 16.7 works without any tweeks..when 18.5 is not..
 
@123kajote : Check port trunking settings on your Synology, assuming you have trunking in use. I had a similar issue with Kodi freezing on a Minix streaming from a QNAP NAS. After I changed port trunking to "Balanced-rr" I got Kodi to work. This might not be your issue but worth a try.

Which protocol are you using with your NAS & U9-H, (i.e. SMB, NFS)?

If using SMB, have you defined a minimum version for Kodi to use?

Chances are it's a simple/silly setting that's been overlooked that 18.x is choking on.

I also though of that.
I have two NAS , one in NFS and other in SMB, in both protocols i have no problems.

I notice that NFS is faster but not much.

Maybe other setting(s), i don´t know.

@123kajote can try that but should work ok in both protocols.

Allow @123kajote the chance to respond with his subjective configuration rather than needlessly preempting him bud :). (As you've rightfully pointed out, you don't know.) The guy is obviously very frustrated by the problems he's experiencing & I'm fairly sure the last thing he wants or needs at this point is someone posting up that "they don't have problems" (again) without offering anything of additional use to fix his issues :(!!

@123kajote . Given these problems you're experiencing you could consider creating a new thread under the off topic section of the forum & title the thread accordingly. Those of us that use NAS may be able to help you troubleshoot your problem if you haven't already fixed it yourself :).

Have you also tried the Synology and/or the Kodi forums regarding your specific issues? (The more exposure, the better the chances of an answer to your specific problem :). All three have certainly helped me in the past if I've been stuck with something :).

The Beta thread has just been closed so I will post my apologies for my comments in that thread here - I was oblivious to this release and thought the beta was stalled (in my defence there was no reference to the full release within that beta thread which I had continued to monitor, until today)
I hadn't looked in "Official Releases" as had not expected it to be there since this was a community effort.
That explains why no-one had commented in 2 months, coinciding with the release date of the full release of course! :D
So I apologize for my comments in that regard.

Anyway, all good now and very much looking forward to trying out this release.
