U9-H-CE FW001 Android 7.1.2 20191120 [Community Edition Nougat Firmware]

guys
where are the wired network settings? i need to change the ip address and can't find how to do it
You can only view ethernet status (settings/about/status)
You can not change to static ip (option not available)
The device is always in DHCP.

If you want to change to static ip my advice is to do it on your router (static leases) and not on minix (if your router allows).

If you go to settings/more you have other options

you need to go into developing mode to turn off USB audio rerouting. Maybe this could be default setting in final rom. Not many aware of develment mode. (no audio without changing this setting)
I'm one of those not aware of this mode. The consequence of this is that I also don't know how to get into this mode. So, if you could tell me.

Found it. The mode, that is. Not yet the relevant setting. But there are many. I will continue. More tomorrow.

except for the minix u9 you do not need to use a reset pin, you only need to press and hold the powerbutton down for a few secs as per the written instructions in the 1st post

that's a problem mate because i was always doing it from the device itself
usually i don't change unless my clients are asking for that

Thank you to the Community for the time spent and development of this firmware.

I read that the Netflix app is now working. Wich version? The one straight from the play store? And in what resolution? 540p, 720p 1080p?

Also the "fake wifi status" and the "static IP" options are present in the the Stock - Android 6.0.1 FW008 and not in this CE Firmware - If implemented it would be greatly appreciated. ( ...no hurry!)

turn off USB audio rerouting
Already did that. Still no go. No analog , no HDMI. Tomorrow I will try the optical output, but I don't have high hopes. If that doesn't work, I think I will try Marshmallow. I don't want to go back to Android 6.

Marshmallow is Android 6 o_O

can you post screenshots of all your minix audio settings and also the audio settings of any app that you are using which you are having issues with. Also detail how your devices are connected and which firmware you are using.

Perhaps we can then work out what maybe causing your issues.

Hi Guys, I'm having trouble loading new 7.1.2 firmware. Fails every time, at 4%. I've tried both; burn card maker and usb burning tool. I noticed; the beta 7.1 file, does the same thing, also. I'm able to load the version 6 firmware, no problem. It could be, just my box. I've tried everything i can think of. re-downloaded image 3 times and tried multiple times.

Have been following this for a bit as I have an LG55C9 and recently installed the CE FW001 ROM to try out for you with my setup.

I normally use an AVR but just tried connecting the Minix u9 running CE FW001 directly to the TV using a different HDMI INput.

I had to change the sound output on the LG55C9 to the TV speakers, but apart from that did nothing more and the sound was fine with no loss at all after several hours play.

I suspect that the LG's firmware are slighty different across the two models but not radically so.

I can only suggest that you ensure that the minix and TV audio settings are aligned with each other.

Other than that if all was well on FW008 Android 6 than go back to that unless there is something you specifically need from Android 7.
I dont find i need android 7 at all for the apps i use and on FW008 Android 6 everything is rock solid.

Hi again! I couldn't let it be, so I flashed 7.1.2 again, and as usual no sound except via BT and Opto, didn't touch or change of audio settings.
Made an factory reset, and after 20-30 minutes the sound came, and when use of only the remote and slide around in app drawer clicking sounds appear and the this sound seems to rise when sliding around quicker...
It sounds also that the sound cuts off when I stop to browse around, probably that behavior is standard.

Started to watch a movie for 2 h, no problem at all.

Then I restarted Minix and after that reboot, no sound again, checked after 1h, still nothing.
Turned off USB audio rerouting, didn't help.

I will try a factory reset again and see if sound comes back.

Will inform later... back to work.

Thanks for the work on this CE team. I've installed and seems to be working well. I like the new Metro look!

Just one thing to report, the Settings app still crashes when I try to access the Display sub menu. I can change display settings using the Droid Settings app, so not a big deal. It just feels a bit unpolished to have app crashes.

Hi! may have been asked, but in KODI, the Auto Refresh Rate Switching is working in this ROM?

Thanks!
