does it matter....can you detail why you are concerned ?Does anyone know?
and which model are you refering to as you quoted this >> "The Minix Neo U9-H supports DTS and Dolby Digital with full official Dolby license" ?

Yes I know, but that is what I mean (highlighted sentences):
"The Minix Neo U9-H supports DTS and Dolby Digital with full official Dolby license"
Is the Dolby Certificate issued in two complete and incomplete types?!
On the U9 model and here:which model are you refering to as you quoted this
does it matter....can you detail why you are concerned ?
This raises two questions for me:Are you trying to determine what will work with passthrough etc. Reza?
On the U9 model and here:
"Rich Cinematic Surround Sound – Dolby Digital Audio
NEO U9-H brings the full-theater sound to your living room. Fully licensed Dolby Audio delivers unsurpassed, vibrant sound quality that brings your entertainment to life."
Link
This raises two questions for me:
1 - When it is said that the U9 has a Dolby Certificate, the question arises as to whether the Dolby in U1 is without a Certificate?
Is the Dolby certificate defective in the U1 model?
2 - If Dolby Audio needs a full certificate, then why hasn't this certificate been issued for DTS?
Is the DTS Audio certificate incomplete?
.....
Thank you both of you for taking the time to respond to me.....
My concern is because:It's more an issue of licensing isn't it?
For example, for MINIX devices to be able to process DTS audio, MINIX would first need to pay the usual licensing fees to DTS etc.
Same applies for Dolby's advanced HD codecs I would imagine???
The U9-H can process DTS.
Is that what you meant?
Thank you both of you for taking the time to respond to me
My concern is because:
I suspect that the Dolby Company may issue two (or more) certificates
One certificate for elementary decoding and another certificate for advanced decoding
That second certificate is called the full certificate
And the difference is that the full certificate includes the full bitrate
Or the difference is that a full certification includes a full pass
Of course this is just an example and a guess
You are worrying about a problem that does not even currently exist.Thank you both of you for taking the time to respond to me

Thanks "dragon slayer"You are worrying about a problem that does not even currently exist.
I stll cant see what your issue is as you are failing to answer and describe what your problem is and for what deviceThanks "dragon slayer"
Maybe. Or maybe not
Waiting for the Minix team's answer
Dear friendI stll cant see what your issue is as you are failing to answer and describe what your problem is and for what device
Dear friend
We believe that the U1 model, as well as other models, have Dolby license. Right?
If so, what is the reason for mentioning the sentence in the U9 model: "Fully licensed Dolby Audio"
I want to know what the difference is between "license" and "Full license"
(I'm sure there is a difference)
Well done! Now some questionsI think the terminology of the U9-H being "fully licensed" just means that MINIX (and the U9-H product itself) are "fully licensed" to bear the Dolby logo/trademark, etc. on the device itself, its packaging, & with any applicable software that may also be pre-installed on the device.
I'll give you an example, I hope you understand what I mean better:To use the Dolby name, logo/TM etc. in accordance with a certain device, the manufacturer has to first meet a very specific set of criteria laid out by Dolby & possibly pay due licensing fees. Once met, the manufacturer obtains their license from Dolby & they can officially state that their product (or products) are fully licensed
Just an FYI for everyone - I spoke to John and the NEO U22-XJ will not be AndroidTV. The NEO U22-XJ is standard Android. Same as all previous NEO models, just more powerful.
The T5 will be AndroidTV.
Hi.Well done! Now some questions
1 - Why hasn't this sentence been mentioned for other devices? (Including U1) Didn't those devices have this license?!
2 - While Minix is licensed for DTS, why hasn't this sentence been mentioned for DTS?
I'll give you an example, I hope you understand what I mean better:
You know THX issues licenses for some devices. But THX licenses have several levels.
THX Select
THX Select 2
THX Ultra
and.....
The more powerful a device is in carrying out THX parameters, the more it will receive a different certificate.
So, if a device has THX certificate, it doesn't mean it has THX Ultra certificate.
Similarly, if a device has Dolby certificate, it does not mean that it has Dolby full certificate.
That's what I think
That really depends in you and your preference. If you enjoy the leanback (remote-friendly) suite of apps, then AndroidTV may be best for you. If you enjoy a more open system then standard Android may be best. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Do a quick Google search to look and decide for yourself, since I think there would be a split decision if there was a poll.So what is best?
How much internal storage will the Minix U22 have because am seeing 64GB and 32GB which one is correct????
