Happy to see you again !!
Welcome back :

You are more than welcome to ask questions about Minix products here, links to competitor brands will not be tolerated, this is considered to be commercial advertising. Please familiarise yourself with the forum rules.Anyone have any info on this ?!
"Amlogic offers variants of their processors depending on whether they come with Dolby and/or DTS licenses. For example, we’ve recently seen Amlogic S922X-J with Dolby license only for the upcoming MINIX NEO N22XJ TV box.
Yes you are right. Of course, I meant the difference between the processors. I corrected my postYou are more than welcome to ask questions about Minix products here, links to competitor brands will not be tolerated, this is considered to be commercial advertising. Does anyone know ?!Anyone have any info on this ?
Is this correct ?
Amlogic offers variants of their processors depending on whether they come with Dolby and/or DTS licenses. For example, the Amlogic S922X-J only has Dolby license. But the Amlogic S922X-H has both Dolby and DTS licenses.
YesCan you use a standard remote to navigate the pure Android screen
With a standrd remote and a air mouse, your choiceHow exactly do you navigate pure Android ?
Minix launcher will be installed on standard Android and Android TV will be delivered with its own ATV launcher.I understand there is the Minix launcher, is this for Android, AndroidTV or both and does this aid in navigating around the Android screen ?
IMO i think ATV will be a little bit easier to use on a TV.I've seen the Android TV screen, is Android similar in usage and look ?
We don't know yet. Will either the U22 or T5 shut down when not in use allowing the HD to completely shut down ?
Hi friends
Does the U22 include the XBMC for MINIX?
Yes

Pure Android is designed for touch use. But Android TV is designed to use remote control. Can you use a standard remote to navigate the pure Android screen or do you need an air mouse style remote?
Hard disks go to standby when not in use.since the Mi Box doesn't completely shut off the HD keeps spinning even when he's not using the box. Will either the U22 or T5 shut down when not in use allowing the HD to completely shut down ? If not, how should I go about using my U22 or T5 with a USB HD ?
I think this problem is not related to Android box manufacturers, but to the processor. Older processors are more compatible with H.265 codec, but less compatible with H.264 codec, especially if the quality and number of frames are high. But new processors do not have this problem and are optimized for high-resolution files for both codecs. As a result, in my opinion, there will be no such problem in U22 (I hope )Another issue I came across with the Mi Box was playing .ISO files. KODI does seem to play ISO Video Files, however when pressing the play button we were meet with a blank screen that lasted for 30 sec or more before the video started. I'm assuming this is due to the Mi Box not being in the same class and quality as the Minix boxes. Hopefully I won't have this occurring with the U22 or T5. Any thoughts or personal experiences on this ?
The problem we may have in the future and now is with old sd files (avi files for example)I think this problem is not related to Android box manufacturers, but to the processor. Older processors are more compatible with H.265 codec, but less compatible with H.264 codec, especially if the quality and number of frames are high. But new processors do not have this problem and are optimized for high-resolution files for both codecs. As a result, in my opinion, there will be no such problem in U22 (I hope )
think you have that the wrong way roundOlder processors are more compatible with H.265 codec, but less compatible with H.264 codec
I think it is the opposite:Older processors are more compatible with H.265 codec, but less compatible with H.264 codec
think you have that the wrong way round
See this link-Newer processors are more compatible with x265 codec (because it is newer) and less compatible with x264.
-Older processors are less compatible with x265 codec and more compatible with x264.
Hum i understand your idea but for example :Because my English is not very good, I may be mistaken in saying some words.
That is why I will explain more accurately:
Support for a codec differs from the ability to properly execute it. The H.265 codec requires less bandwidth due to its high compression capability and therefore does not require a powerful processor to run it. When this codec is supported by a device, it will probably run correctly (unless in exceptional circumstances). But the H.264 codec requires more bandwidth because of less compression. For this reason, this codec may be supported by one device, but at the same time it may have trouble running a large file with the H.264 codec. So for a processor, running the H.265 codec correctly would be easier than running the H.264 codec correctly. Note that I do not mean the overall processor power, but I mean the processor power to play video files. Older processors do not have much processing power so they have no problem running the H.265 codec. But they do not have enough power to execute the H.264 codec.
