Hello ,i Ask me if i buy the u22xj or not

I have a problème that i Never resolved with a minix unit
I rip my Blu Rays with DVDfab ,i rip them without compressing ,the movie/ sound in my language /subtile , the movies are on my pc (i3-9100/motherboard asrock z390m-itx/2x8go ram) ,connect to my modem/routeur NETGEAR cg3700b with RJ45 câble cat6

I test to read with all my minix units (connected rj45cat6) via kodi smb the movies but the playback is horible,

With 8hplus frezze total
With 9hplus frezze
With x39 just small lags but not total frezze (i try with Areswizard to optimise the Kodi settings-not better)
I try the latest Kodi 18.7 /and try 18.7+Areswizard,its better but not 100%fluid
So i Ask me if i have better results with the u22xj ???
I am not Kodi beginner and i try the différent things in Kodi setup for make more fluid but impossible to have thé playback 100% fluid
Blu-ray rip have a size from 14go to more then 30go dépending the movies....so thé problème is not to play 3go files but Real Blu Ray movie rip mkv
What are your expérience for playback Blu Ray rip with kodi on a minix device ?

Maybe this work better with the u22xj ??

Im going to stick my neck out here and suggest it is more of a problem with your rips or your network than with the minix .
Never had any issues generally with .mkv files on a U1 U9 or U22 interms of freezing or lags over the LAN
perhaps you could provide a video sample link for us to test

Did you tried with Blu Ray mkv rip ?? Its impossible that there is a problem with the Blu Ray rip i rip a lot of Blu Ray with DVDfab , just the movie....they work perfect with windows media player ,the problèm comes not from the rip , from the pc ? I dont think because its the minix how decode the movies ,with small vidéo files no problem ,its not possible to give you a sample ,thé movies make between 14go and more then 30go (Hobbit...)
From the network ? Maybe, i dont know ,all connect with RJ45 cat 6
For the moment all i can Say is that thé best results i have with the x39 (98% perfect)
With the u9 not work
I Can make a vidéo with my phone for demonstrate

Yes, hundreds of movies yet, with any bitrates, from low to very high, H264 compressed ou H265 and no issues (U22 with gbits ethernet, Nas Synology, Kodi last version).
I agree with @pusb87 , check your videos.

Perhaps you can send us MediaInfo datas ?

@Ralf
Copy the videos you have problems to external usb (use on the minix itself) and test again.
Use kodi 18.7 stable with basic installation (almost with default settings).

If playing from external usb is fine the problem must be your network (router , etc... ).

Do this for now:
Restart all (router, minix...).

Last resort:
Factory reset router and minix (be aware of data and settings you will lost).

Note:
Don't use wifi and use RJ45 for better results/performance

Other note:
check your server installed programs , disable temporarily antivirus/firewall.
Your server is important , you must ensure that is working well and fast.
Check rj45 cat6 cable, test with another cable if you have.

As i write i use not serveur but simple windows pc and thé pc and thé minix are connected rj45cat6 câblesi,i dont test with USB stick for the moment ,i test with the Kodi 18.7... ,read my first post plz
I make vidéo ,i download youtube and post it when download is finish

I also have a lot of movies/tv shows with zero problems (streaming videos (kodi) from NAS with mySQL).

You must review your network setup.

Do the simple test by coping some files to external usb pen drive.
If the test have sucess the problem must be your network....

A server can be windows PC , with shared folders.

I use a NAS instead.

Small vidéo accélérations as you Can see when peopel are walking

Test with x39 ,connections same as with u9h , all rj45cat6 connected
Vidéo 2 fast 2 Furious
Test without touching Kodi settings :
Sound ok
Small vidéo accélérations as you Can see when peopel are walking, better results as the u9h but not perfect ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

@Ralf

This looks to me more like stuttering of the video rather than freezing and is possibly due to framerates mismatch.
Try >
On the U9 minix settings select HDMI self adapation level 2
and in Kodi settings Adjust Display Refresh Rates to On Start/Stop

IN the media info for the file you showed it stated 23.976
You should check on your TV/Monitor the actual frame rate it is being played at. If it not the same then you will likley see micro stutter.

Maybe also your monitor is not capable of 23.976 ( 24)

Good ?.
Now is just find the best setup for your network, kodi and stream your files from your Windows PC.

????? For the moment Kodi Can not play a movie from USB stick in minix without stuttering...so i dont think that this was better if i play from network pc/smb
You misunderstand something my first test is playing thé movie from USB stick with vidéo player from minix ,this work great ,but with Kodi not work ,all Time stuttering

Note:
Don't modify too many options on kodi.

Write it down or take a picture (or from your memory) the best setup to play your files.

When everything is good stay with that kodi setup.

If not do (again) a kodi clean install or go to kodi and use default options. (Or if needed clean cache and kodi data).

Use kodi 18.7 latest build.

In all my devices kodi 18.7 works well.

Other note:
Don't modify too many options on your router or you are forced (in order to the network work well again) a router factory reset. (It is sometimes the best and quickest solution).
