Why thé minix box can read it with mxplayer without problème but not Kodi ??
Ils this a codec problème from Kodi ?

Cut a small section of your mkv files and post a link to it here, then we can try and see if its a Kodi issue related to the VC-1 Codec
 
It is indeed a possiblity and a good advice by @Skynet.

I never use programs to rip DVDs/blu-ray.

I use more often H264 and H265 files (10bit and 8bit) blu ray .MKV

You can try as i suggested kodi v19 nightly builds.

Kodi is always in evolution, maybe that is fixed or will be fixed (i don't know).

I am not a regulary user on kodi forum, i go there from time to time, you can go there and check that infornation.

You also can ask on kodi forum and add a flag with that issue.
 
I have been transcoding a 16GB file for 1 hour and a half. there is still 1 hour left. It can take time if you want quality. I transcode on a Ryzen 3900X

I'm not sure it's a Kodi issue. Just watched his recode settings and i knew it couldn't be played smoothly.

If mxplayer Can read it without problème but not Kodi ??? I think its Kodi problème ,what else Can it be ??????

I go Ask in Kodi forum ,whats going on with playing Blu Ray rip from dvdfab/anydvd...in VC-1

Maybe the internal decoder (codec). It's really not a good idea to recode videos in VC1 !
