Hello folks,

It's been a long time since my last appearance, I am just trying to inform you guys that right now I am developing a new 8K Media Hub for MINIX,

and for old MINIX fans, you should know who I am (yes I am the creator of G4, X5 series, X7 series, X8 series, U1, U9, etc).

Let's discuss this and tell me your wishes.

Does it run Google Earth?
AOSP or ATV
What Android version and security level.

Big fan of the U9h we have two of these.

Please tell me why you want it running Google Earth :)
It is surely going to be AOSP, there are enough boring TVs & ATV boxes out there.
We are trying to do something else for our fans.

My Nvidia Shield running AOSP Lineage can run Google Earth and that is a six-year-old device. Not everyone uses their boxes just for streaming.
Agree with you about the boring boxes out there, you could recommend a Minix box to a friend because they were quality with support...back in the day. I wouldn't recommend one of the generic Amazon / Ebay ones.

It's a player that may truly deliver some new visual & audio features to our fans, e.g. 8K playback, 11.2.4 channels atmos, etc.
these are things that older players and TVs are incapable of doing and we believe it is worth us to work on this project.
